We picked out these gorgeous carrots at our CSA this week. It's really hard to get excited about uniformly cut, pre-peeled "baby" carrots when you can enjoy these beauties:
Erin: A law-of-attraction-inspired writer, yoga teacher and mother of two young children. Creator of this blog, which chronicles our journey as we slowly but steadily move towards sustainable food production on our 1.5 acre property on the rural edge of suburbia (aka Nadalada Farm). Erin spends her days juggling life as an at-home parent of two young children, writing an online parenting column and working part-time at a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. John: Director of Development for a non-profit human services agency. Former U.S. Senate Aide. Freelance writer and policy wonk. John spends his days working off farm, providing income so we can live on the farm! Lily: Four-year-old manager of chickens, blueberries, strawberries and dandelions. Lily spends her days playing, creating, drawing, dancing, talking to Fairies, sharing love with all living things, and asking questions that make her parents’ heads spin. Quinn: The farm’s two-year-old "Fix-it Man." Quinn spends his days fixing things, playing with tractors, reading about tractors, telling elaborate stories about driving tractors (and excavators, and front-loaders, and bulldozers) and playing (mostly) very nicely with his sister.
